Acceptable Use Policy

Effective Date:

Purpose and Scope

This Acceptable Use Policy ("Policy") applies to all prompts, uploads, reference media, generated images, generated videos, audio, text, projects, and other content submitted to, generated by, stored in, or distributed through Clipin (the "Platform"). It applies to every user and every Platform feature, including image generation, image-to-video, text-to-video, video generation, image upscaling, face swap, editing, exporting, sharing, and publishing.

This Policy forms part of our Terms of Service. You are responsible for your Inputs, your instructions to the Platform, generated outputs, and how you use or distribute those outputs.

Content Standards and Prohibited Categories

You must not request, upload for generation, generate, edit, distribute, or facilitate any of the following six categories of content:

1. Pornography and NSFW Content

Pornographic, explicitly sexual, fetish, or graphic nudity content; sexual services or sexual exploitation; non-consensual intimate imagery; or attempts to sexualize a person through editing, face swap, or generation. Sexual content involving minors is always handled under the stricter child-safety prohibition below.

2. Violence and Gore

Graphic injury, mutilation, torture, dismemberment, gore, or depictions that celebrate or encourage serious physical harm; instructions that facilitate violent wrongdoing; credible threats; or content promoting terrorism, mass violence, genocide, or violent extremist organizations. Non-graphic documentary or educational context may still be restricted where it creates a safety risk or violates applicable law.

3. Hate Speech

Content that attacks, dehumanizes, threatens, promotes exclusion or inferiority, or incites hatred or violence against people based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, caste, disability, sex, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, or another protected characteristic.

4. Child-Unsafe Content and CSAM

Child sexual abuse material ("CSAM"), sexual or exploitative content involving or appearing to involve anyone under 18, grooming, sexualization of minors, requests to age-transform a minor for sexual purposes, or any content that facilitates child abuse or exploitation. This prohibition applies to real, fictional, illustrated, edited, and AI-generated material. We maintain zero tolerance for this category.

5. Deepfakes and Impersonation

Deepfakes, face swaps, voice clones, synthetic media, or other content that uses a real person's identity or likeness without the rights and consent required by law, or that is intended to deceive, defraud, harass, exploit, defame, manipulate civic processes, or falsely imply that a person said, endorsed, or did something. Authorized creative transformations must not be presented deceptively and must be labeled as AI-generated where required by law or a distribution platform.

6. Copyright and Trademark Infringement

Content that reproduces, misappropriates, counterfeits, or otherwise infringes copyright, trademark, publicity, privacy, or other proprietary rights. You must have the necessary licenses and permissions for uploaded artwork, footage, music, logos, characters, products, faces, voices, and other protected material.

Other Prohibited Conduct

  • Illegal, fraudulent, defamatory, harassing, coercive, or exploitative activity.
  • Scams, phishing, malware, credential theft, or instructions for cyber abuse.
  • Attempts to evade, disable, reverse engineer, or bypass safety or access controls.
  • Automated scraping or extraction that burdens the Platform or violates another party's rights.
  • Presenting generated content as professional medical, legal, financial, or safety advice in a way that could foreseeably cause harm.
  • Using the Platform in violation of applicable law or another service's rules.

Content Moderation

We use a layered, risk-based safety process. Depending on the feature, account, rollout status, and available provider controls, this may include:

  • automated classification of prompts and reference images before a generation request is sent to an AI provider;
  • automated checks of generated images before they are added to a user's asset library or the related generation is finalized;
  • risk-based or rollout-limited checks of generated video outputs;
  • safety controls operated by third-party AI model providers;
  • review of user reports, account history, and retained safety-event information, with human review where appropriate and available; and
  • periodic review of aggregate block and detector-error trends.

Moderation is not infallible and does not mean that every item is reviewed by a person or that every prohibited item will be detected. Some automated checks may be unavailable or may operate only on supported media types. Users remain responsible for compliance with this Policy and should report suspected violations.

To protect privacy, routine allowed content is not retained in our moderation event log. When an automated check explicitly blocks content, we may retain limited prompt, classifier, account, task, and output-location information for investigation, safety operations, and enforcement, subject to our Privacy Policy.

Reporting Violations

What to Report

Report content or behavior that appears to violate this Policy, especially suspected CSAM, child exploitation, credible threats, non-consensual intimate deepfakes, impersonation, fraud, or repeated intellectual-property infringement.

How to Report

Email support@clipin.ai with the subject "Content Safety Report." Include, where available:

  • the relevant Clipin URL, public share URL, project or task identifier;
  • a concise description of the suspected violation and affected person or right;
  • screenshots or other evidence that helps us locate and assess the content;
  • for copyright or trademark reports, identification of the protected work or mark and your authority to act for the rights holder; and
  • a safe way to contact you if clarification is needed.

Do not email or redistribute suspected CSAM. Instead, provide only the location or identifier needed for us to investigate safely. If someone faces immediate danger, contact local emergency services first.

Report Handling

We aim to acknowledge complete reports within 2 business days. Reports involving child safety, credible threats, or imminent harm are prioritized. Timing for a final decision varies with severity, available evidence, legal obligations, and whether we must coordinate with a service provider or authority.

We handle reporter information as confidentially as reasonably possible, review reports impartially, and limit disclosure to people who need it for investigation, enforcement, or legal compliance. Knowingly false, malicious, or abusive reports may themselves lead to account restrictions.

Enforcement

Depending on severity, context, history, and legal requirements, we may:

  • reject or stop a generation request;
  • prevent an output from being saved, exported, shared, or published;
  • remove or restrict access to content;
  • warn the user or restrict specific features;
  • suspend or terminate an account without refund where permitted by law;
  • preserve relevant evidence; or
  • report activity to a service provider or competent authority when required by law.

Severe child-safety violations, credible violent threats, fraudulent impersonation, and non-consensual sexual deepfakes may result in immediate restriction or termination without prior warning.

Appeals

If you believe your content or account was restricted in error, email support@clipin.ai from your registered email with the subject "Content Policy Appeal." Include the relevant task, project, or account details and explain why you believe the decision should be reconsidered. Appeals do not guarantee restoration, and content that presents an urgent safety or legal risk may remain restricted during review.

Policy Updates and Contact

We may update this Policy as our Services, safety capabilities, or legal obligations change. The current effective date appears at the top of this page. Questions and reports can be sent to support@clipin.ai.
